A delicious and light side dish for any meal! Quick and easy to make, this is my go-to pasta side dish for a weeknight meal. Perfect with marinated grilled chicken or seafood.
1 cup orzo pasta (look for whole wheat orzo!)
1/4 cup butter
1-2 tsp minced garlic
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
2 Tbsp milk
1 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley
salt and ground black pepper, to taste
1. Bring water to a boil and cook the orzo, as according to the box. Drain.
2. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Saute garlic in the melted butter until lightly tan and fragrant.
3. Stir cooked orzo into the butter garlic mixture, and mix in parmesan cheese, milk, parsley, salt, and black pepper. Serve & enjoy!
