1 cup steel-cut oats
1/3 cup chopped dates
2/3 cup rains or craisins
1/3 cup chopped fried figs
3/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/3 cup chopped almonds, walnuts, or pecans
4 cups water
1/2 cup half-and-half or plain nonfat yogurt
1. Mix all ingredients together in a slow cooker.
2. Set on low and cook 8-9 hours. Stir to combine and serve. Top with toasted nuts or fresh fruit, if desired.
