Chocolate Granola Dipped Apple Wedges

A new kid friendly twist on the typical afternoon snack of apple wedges! To tailor it more towards adults, try dipping the apple wedges in dark chocolate with chopped nuts.

Ingredients:
2 oz semisweet chocolate, finely chopped
1/3 cup low-fat granola (without raisins)
1 large apple, cut into 16 wedges (braeburn, gala, fuji)

Directions:
1. Place chocolate in a medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for 1 minute, stirring every 15 seconds, or until chocolate melts.
2. Place granola in a shallow dish. Dip apple wedges, skin side up, in chocolate. Allow excess chocolate to drip back into the bowl. Dredge wedges in granola. Place wedges, chocolate side up, on a large plate. Refrigerate 5 minutes, or until set.

Yield: 4 servings (132 calories, 4.8 total fat, 2.6 g saturated fat, 1.5 g protein, 23.9 g carbohydrate, 2.6 g fiber, 0 mg cholesterol)
