Blackberry Limeade

Delicious and refreshing on a hot day – the weather here has been pretty warm for spring. I love to relax on the back deck after a long day with this refreshing  & healthy drink. You can mix it up with other fresh fruits instead of blackberries, as well!

6 cups water, divided
3 cups fresh blackberries
1 cup fine sugar (or less if you like it a little more tart!)
2/3 cup fresh lime juice
8 thin lime slices
fresh blackberries (for garnishing)

1. Place 1 cup water and 3 cups blackberries in a blender – process until smooth.
2. Press blackberry puree through a sieve into a large pitcher and discard seeds.
3. Add remaining 5 cups water, sugar, and juice to pitcher – stir until sugar dissolves.
4. To serve, place 1 lime slice and a few blackberries into a glass and pour about 1 cup limeade over each serving.
